Summary of the contracting process

The NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (BNSSG ICB) is overseeing the procurement process for the "Women's Crisis House," a mental health service aimed at providing short-term residential support to women in crisis to prevent hospital admissions or facilitate step-down care before community reintegration. The procurement falls under the Health Services category, with the process classified as services according to CPV. Located in the UK region UKK11, the procurement is in the Award stage, marked by an intention to award notice under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR), with a direct award set to the existing provider, Missing Link House. Key dates include the decision taken on 6 November 2025, the start of the standstill period on 2 March 2026, and representations by providers due by 12 March 2026. The contract is scheduled for 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2029.

This tender presents valuable opportunities for businesses specialising in health services and those able to offer psycho-social support models to patients under clinical mental health care. With a contract valued at £1,667,076 over three years, it is conducive for established SMEs such as Missing Link House or similar organisations with experience in crisis residential care for women. Integration and collaboration with secondary mental health trusts are emphasised, suggesting opportunities for providers with strong ties to healthcare services. Companies capable of delivering innovative and sustainable service solutions, while addressing health inequalities, will likely be well-suited to meet the tender's criteria focusing on quality, value, and social impact.
