Summary of the contracting process

Kent County Council is currently in the planning stage for a contract titled "VCSE Led Mental Health Recovery and Prevention Services," classified under the community health services category. Located in Kent, the procurement is part of a market engagement initiative aimed at shaping future service delivery in mental health and wellbeing. This initiative, centred around the Live Well Kent & Medway services, focuses on aiding recovery, preventing relapse, and promoting health and social care outcomes. Although this is not a competitive tender, organisations interested in mental health and wellbeing services are invited to participate in virtual engagement sessions scheduled between 21 and 24 April 2026. Registration must be completed by 12 noon on 16 April 2026.

This engagement offers a strategic opportunity for VCSE organisations, mental health providers, community groups, and digital service companies to influence service development that aligns with both local and national health guidance. Businesses specialising in preventative, community-based, recovery-focused support, particularly for individuals aged 17 and over, would find this a fruitful avenue for expanding their service offerings and community impact. Those capable of driving innovation in mental health care would be especially well-suited to engage in these sessions, potentially leading to future procurement opportunities in the region.
