Notice Description
The Addiction Psychiatry project is a DHSC-funded initiative to develop a new Addiction Psychiatry (AP) credential, in delivered by Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych), to address the long-standing shortage of specialist addiction psychiatrists within the drug and alcohol treatment and recovery (DATR) workforce.
Procurement Information
RCPsych is the only body that meets the criteria need to deliver the credential. Neither policy officials nor national clinical advisors have uncovered any other GMC-accredited or legally regulated addiction speciality in the whole of UK healthcare, including medicine, nursing, and psychology.
