Summary of the contracting process

The Improvement and Development Agency for Local Government (IDeA) is seeking bids for a project with the East Riding of Yorkshire Council (ERYC), focusing on enhancing their technology-enabled lives programme. The procurement process is in the tender stage, having been updated on 15 April 2026. It is classified under social work and related services, aiming to maximise independence for individuals who may require care. Located in London, the procurement is set to conclude with the submission deadline on 5 May 2026. The process follows an open competition method, remaining below the threshold, with electronic submissions accepted via the Panacea procurement portal.

This tender presents opportunities for businesses with expertise in assistive technology and adult social care to contribute significantly to ERYC’s prevention agenda. It is particularly suited to SMEs and VCSEs familiar with developing business cases for assisted living technology, given the project's focus on innovation and reduction in care services. Bidders with prior council collaboration experience and knowledge in risk management, stakeholder engagement, and resource development for broader use will find this an advantageous opportunity to showcase their proficiency and expand their influence in the public sector tech-enabled care domain.
