Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process initiated by Bradford Children & Families Trust is currently in the planning stage for a framework agreement. The tender, titled "Market Engagement for the Provision of Post 16 Supported Accommodation and Support Services-Framework (2)," focuses on the social work services industry, specifically for youth support services. The engagement event is scheduled to take place on 22nd April 2026 via Microsoft Teams, with potential bidding documentation to be released by 5th May 2026. The trust, a public authority under sub-central government, is located in Bradford (BD5 0QL), United Kingdom, and the procurement process is focused on the Yorkshire and the Humber region. Notably, the procurement value is projected at £11,100,000 gross over the contract period from December 2026 to November 2034.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in providing social work services with accommodation, particularly those capable of delivering outcomes for young people aged 16 to 25, including looked-after children and care leavers. Businesses that are small to medium enterprises (SMEs) or voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) will find the procurement especially well-suited due to the emphasis on having a diverse, high-quality provider base. Engaging with this tender could offer long-term growth prospects by establishing a relationship with a key local authority buyer and gaining involvement in a framework agreement that supports critical social care services.
