Following a virtual Market Engagement held on 11th March 2026, the Commissioner would like to provide the opportunity to the market to engage in 1 to 1 meeting so that the Commissioner can gain a more in depth understanding around the opportunities and constraints of the proposed model.

***This advert is for market engagement only*** The commissioner has published this Prior Information Notice to advertise further market engagement for a future NHS Kent and Medway Conveyance Response Vehicles (CRV) service for Mental Health. Following a virtual Market Engagement held on 11th March 2026, the Commissioner would like to provide the opportunity to the market to engage in 1 to 1 meeting so that the Commissioner can gain a more in depth understanding around the opportunities and constraints of the proposed model.

The proposed contract term will be three years, with a two-year extension option. The aim of the Conveyance Response Vehicles for Mental Health Service is to provide a safe and effective transport to convey a specified cohort of individuals between the community (following Mental Health assessment), Emergency Department (ED), Health Based Place of Safety and Mental Health Inpatient Services. For individuals detained under Section 136 where ED is used as the Health Based Place of Safety, a sitting staff service will be provided.
The 1-1 sessions will take place between 5th May and 7th May 2026. Upon registration and completion of the online questionnaire, a link to the booking page for the 1-1 events will be provided.
The service that this Prior Information Notice (PIN) relates is within scope of the Provider
Selection Regime (PSR). The Commissioner(s) and AGCSU are bound only by the Health
Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt,
the provisions of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 do not apply. The Commissioner does
not bind itself to commencing or running any public procurement procedure further to, or as
a result of, this market engagement. Any subsequent procurement, if undertaken, will be
commenced by way of a separate call for competition via a relevant notice published in Find
a Tender. Any and all information/documents are draft and subject to change.
