Notice Title

SCI Feasibility Studies DNO 3 - NPG

Notice Description

The Office for Zero Emission Vehicles ("OZEV") is commissioning feasibility studies on 4 sites to provide detailed technical, cost and delivery information to support the development of a proposed financial intervention, the Strategic Charging Infrastructure Scheme. The aim of the Strategic Charging Infrastructure Scheme is to enable private sector investment in electric vehicle charging facilities at Motorway Service Areas (MSAs) on the Strategic Road Network (SRN) by addressing electricity network constraints. This will support the roll-out of visible, reliable and accessible en-route charging infrastructure to meet increasing demand for electric vehicles, enable longer-distance journeys, and support consumer confidence in the transition from internal combustion engine vehicles to zero emission alternatives.
