Vasectomy Service - NHS Black Country Integrated Care Board

***THIS NOTICE IS FOR A MARKET ENGAGEMENT EVENT ONLY***<br/>NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU on behalf of NHS Black Country Integrated Care Board (ICB) are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced providers for the provision of a Vasectomy service.<br/>The service(s) must be located within the geography of the Black Country where all aspects of the service pathway described in this specification are delivered. It is also desirable if Providers have one service location in each Place (Wolverhampton, Walsall, Sandwell and Dudley) to maximise patient choice and reduce inequality. This can be delivered either by Providers working collaboratively together across the System or by Subcontracting arrangements. <br/><br/>Contract Length is expected to be for a period of 2 years with the Commissioner having the option to extend the Contract for up to a further 2 years.<br/><br/>The commissioner has published this Prior Information Notice to support market engagement only at this stage. Further details are provided in II.2.4 below.

***THIS NOTICE IS FOR A MARKET ENGAGEMENT EVENT ONLY***
The Successful provider will be required to provide a high quality and safe one or two stage, no-scalpel & scalpel technique vasectomy under local anesthetic, in accordance with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists guidelines, (RCOG), in a primary care or community setting to all adult males who request it, are of sound mind and not acting under external duress.
The main aims of The Service are:
* To provide a high quality, cost effective, local community vasectomy service.
* To provide services that comply with accepted best practice, relevant accreditation processes, relevant guidelines in clinical practice and robust governance arrangements.
* To provide a complete holistic patient focused care package, including pre- and post-operative care, information, advice and counselling.
* To provide an opportunity for Men's Health Promotion
* To ensure consistent and continuous care between health professionals, and effective and efficient communication.
* To improve access and convenience for patients
* To improve patient choice
The objective of this engagement is to help the commissioner finalise the financial model, service model and procurement strategy. Providers are invited to attend a virtual market engagement event which will focus on the service specification/requirements, financial model and an overview of the procurement process.
The Commissioner intends to hold the market engagement event via MS Teams on Thursday 18th June at 2pm Interested parties should express an interest in attending by completing a short questionnaire which can be found on the Atamis Health Family portal (https://atamis-1928.my.site.com/s/Welcome and search for project C449197. A link to the event can be accessed via the invitation located within the Documents area of the Atamis project.
Please ensure that you have registered your interest in attending the market engagement event by 17th June 2026 at midday.
The commissioner does not bind itself to commencing or running any public procurement procedure further to, or as a result of, this market engagement.
Any subsequent procurement, if undertaken, will be commenced by way of a separate relevant notice published in Find a Tender.
Any and all information/documents that are made available to the market as part of this engagement exercise is draft and subject to change. All timeframes are indicative and also subject to change. Additional information: This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Contract Notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this award. In addition, neither the placement of this notice nor any subsequent notice shall bind the Commissioner to the award of any contract.
