Summary of the contracting process

The University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust is conducting a tender process titled "Insourced Services to support the Provision of Healthcare," under the health and social work services category. This initiative is aimed at enhancing elective care services through the NHS Workforce Alliance RM6276 Framework. The procurement is currently in the tender update stage with a key online briefing session scheduled on 3rd June 2026, at 10:00 am via Microsoft Teams. The procurement process includes a mini-competition under the NHS Provider Selection Regime, with crucial dates like the bid submission deadline on 27th July 2026, and a contract award date on 2nd October 2026. The contract is expected to begin on 1st April 2027 and will initially run for 2 years, with a possible extension of 12 months.

This tender provides significant business growth opportunities for suppliers within the healthcare services sector, particularly those capable of delivering a variety of medical specialties such as Breast Care, Cardiology, and Dermatology amongst others. Businesses that are already part of the NHS Workforce Alliance RM6276 Framework are well-positioned to compete, although collaborations with subcontractors are encouraged to meet the full scope of services required. Participating in this tender allows suppliers to contribute to improving patient care while expanding their service offerings within the healthcare system. The involvement of a diverse range of specialties broadens the scope for various healthcare providers to tap into new markets and leverage existing expertise to cater to the Trust's needs.
