Summary of the contracting process

The Kingston Upon Hull City Council has announced its intention to award a contract under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) for Family Hub GP Drop-In Clinics. This contract, related to health services in Hull (CPV code 85100000), is anticipated to commence on 1st July 2026 and end by 30th June 2027, with an option to extend for an additional year. The project is valued at £55,000, with potential extensions raising it to £110,000. Key information regarding this contract includes a selective procurement method focused on identifying the most suitable provider, without running a competitive exercise, under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. The standstill period began on 28th May 2026, with representations from providers accepted until midnight on 8th June 2026.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in health care services, particularly those focusing on innovative, integrated, and sustainable service models. There is a strong emphasis on improving family health outcomes, which could be particularly appealing to providers with demonstrated expertise in general-practitioner services and public health. The contract seeks a provider who can offer quality and innovative care, ensure integration and collaboration among health services, and contribute to social value by improving access and reducing health inequalities. Firms that can effectively demonstrate these capabilities within the operational framework of the Rainbow and Fenchurch Family Hubs should consider this an advantageous opportunity to establish or expand their presence in Hull's health service sector.
