Summary of the contracting process

The London Borough of Hackney is currently in the planning stage for a procurement process focused on delivering an "Integrated Children’s Occupational Therapy Service." This initiative falls under the health services category and aims to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across Hackney, especially within the region of UKI41. A key event in the procurement timeline is a virtual market engagement session scheduled for 8th July. This session will allow potential providers to learn about the procurement requirements, processes, and timelines. The expected start date for the contract is 1st April 2027, with an initial term of 3 years and options for two annual extensions, potentially extending the contract to 5 years.

This tender represents a substantial opportunity for businesses specialising in health services, particularly those experienced in occupational therapy for children. Companies equipped to deliver such services will find the potential 5-year contract advantageous for long-term growth. Engaging in this procurement process allows for collaboration with the London Borough of Hackney, a regional authority with a commitment to improving educational settings for children with SEND. Businesses that can offer comprehensive therapy services and guidance for families and educators are ideal contenders for this growth opportunity.
