Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process for the "Assisted Conception Service" is being planned by NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit, on behalf of NHS Black Country Integrated Care Board. This process is categorised under health services and specifically focuses on in vitro fertilisation services, with the CPV code 85100000. The service aims to be delivered in the Black Country region, UKG3. The procurement is currently at the planning stage, with an indicative contract length of three years and the possibility of extension for an additional three years. Interested parties are encouraged to express interest for the market engagement event by 13th July 2026, with a future notice date set for 1st September 2026. The procurement is being conducted under the Provider Selection Regime Regulations 2023, and the expected contract value is £1,511,736.

This tender represents a significant business growth opportunity for enterprises specialising in health services, particularly those with expertise in assisted conception and in vitro fertilisation. Companies with at least one service site in the Black Country region, capable of meeting stringent quality and safety requirements, as well as addressing the psychological needs of service users, would be well-suited to compete. The potential long-term contract ensures stable client engagement and offers the possibility for service expansion. As the NHS sets high standards for service delivery, organisations that can demonstrate innovation and excellence in healthcare provision will likely have a competitive edge in this procurement process.
