Summary of the contracting process

The public procurement process for the "St Peters Court Council Tax Recovery" project was conducted by East Suffolk Council, a sub-central government authority based in Woodbridge, United Kingdom. This contract falls under the services industry category, specifically focusing on architectural, engineering, and surveying services. The location for this procurement is the UKH14 region. As of 2nd July 2026, the procurement reached the award and contract stage, having previously been initiated through a direct procurement method below the threshold without competition. Key dates include the contract signing on 15th June 2026, with the contract period running from 16th June 2026 to 14th June 2027.

This tender presents opportunities for businesses specialising in council tax recovery services, particularly those with expertise in dealing with vacant properties such as the St Peters Court flats in Lowestoft. The involvement of The Beattie Partnership Limited, a large-scale company, as the supplier indicates potential for substantial engagements and the possibility of similar future contracts. Businesses that are adept in providing effective solutions in recovering unpaid council taxes can benefit from engaging with public authorities like East Suffolk Council, thereby expanding their market presence in the public sector.

Notice Title

St Peters Court Council Tax Recovery

Notice Description

St Peters Court in Lowestoft is a block of 90 flats, which is now vacant. The building is due for demolition around the middle of next year and the building has gradually been vacated between the end of 2022 and December 2024. Council tax continues to be billed and we wish to commission an expert in the field of Council tax recovery to attempt to recover some of the Council tax which has been paid since vacation of the individual flats and continues to be paid. As the building is vacant and not fit for habitation, we are of the view that we may be able to recover some of the Council tax fees paid.
