Summary of the contracting process

The Improvement and Development Agency for Local Government (IDeA) is initiating a public procurement process for the provision of SEND Improvement Advisers (SIA). This project, under an open procurement method, aims to support children’s services leadership within local government, specifically focusing on SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities). The tender falls under the services category, with an end date for submission on 30th July 2026. The total value of the contract is £42,000, spread over a period ending on 31st March 2027, with a possible extension option. The work is primarily associated with development consultancy services and will be conducted across the United Kingdom, managed from IDeA's offices in London.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in consultancy services, particularly those with expertise in educational leadership and SEND improvements. SMEs looking to expand their involvement in public sector projects could greatly benefit from engaging with this opportunity, which requires up to three skilled SEND Improvement Advisers. It offers a platform to collaborate with regional improvement alliances and develop innovative strategies for local government enhancement. Such engagement not only supports professional growth but also allows companies to establish influential networks within the local government sector, fostering long-term business relationships and knowledge exchange.
