Summary of the contracting process

Layer De La Haye Parish Council has issued a tender titled "Recreation Ground Refresh" aimed at upgrading the facilities on the Layer de la Haye recreation ground in the United Kingdom. The tender falls under the goods category with a focus on playground equipment and is set within the UKH3 region. This open competition allows potential suppliers to submit their proposals by the amended deadline of 18th September 2026. The procurement process is currently in the tender stage, with an intended contract period starting from 1st October 2026 to 30th September 2027. The objective is to engage a single supplier to install new and replace existing equipment, ensuring compliance with the UK playground standards, providing safety inspections, and removing any old materials or waste.

This tender presents a substantial opportunity for businesses involved in playground equipment manufacturing, installation, and maintenance. It is particularly suited for companies that can propose comprehensive design solutions catering to diverse age groups, including areas for toddlers, teens, and adults, with an emphasis on safety, accessibility, and community engagement. The project, with a budget of approximately £160,000, seeks suppliers experienced in similar installs and those capable of offering innovative, durable, and inclusive play solutions. Businesses who are members of key trade bodies and have a proven track record in delivering complex outdoor installations would be at an advantage in competing for this contract.
