Notice Information
Notice Title
Provision of leading indicators for health protection reporting
Notice Description
National Highways is a government owned company responsible for operating, maintaining and improving the strategic road network in England. We are seeking to appoint a single supplier to undertake research aimed at preventing long-latency occupational illnesses across the construction supply chain. The research will identify practical leading indicators of occupational health performance through a combination of supply chain surveys, a review of relevant academic and industry literature, and stakeholder engagement. The appointed supplier will analyse the findings and develop evidence-based recommendations for leading health performance indicators and control metrics that can be adopted to strengthen occupational health management and support the prevention of long-latency occupational illnesses within the construction sector. We are now conducting pre-market engagement to test if our expectations can be delivered by the market or if adaptation is required.
Planning Information
Potential suppliers are asked to complete an online survey to confirm their interest and comment on whether National Highways' expectations for the requirement are reasonable. The survey can be found at https://forms.cloud.microsoft/e/6a9QC3u2j6. This notice is issued as part of a Preliminary Market Engagement exercise under the Procurement Act 2023. Participation does not constitute a commitment to procure or award any contract, nor does it provide any guarantee of involvement in future commercial opportunities. Information gathered may be used to inform technical decision-making, standards development and potential future procurement strategies.
