Summary of the contracting process

Cadent Gas Limited intends to procure fatigue management and wellbeing services from a single supplier. The service would support its established fatigue management programme through an integrated solution covering fatigue management, health and wellbeing, technology-enabled monitoring, health data, employee safety and wellbeing, interactive education, and support services. The supplier would need to integrate relevant data and insights into Cadent’s existing systems and ways of working. The scope also includes interactive face-to-face education and support to improve employees’ health and wellbeing. This is a company health service, classified under CPV 85147000. Delivery would support Cadent Gas Limited’s operations, with the buying organisation based in Coventry.

This procurement is at the planning stage and is being used for preliminary market engagement, not to invite competing tenders. Cadent expects to appoint a single supplier for one lot. The anticipated contract period is 1 April 2027 to 31 March 2030, with a possible extension to 31 March 2031; renewal is contemplated. Cadent has scheduled market engagement, with responses expected by 21 August 2026. Organisations wishing to take part in that engagement are asked to request the RfI documentation by email to box.ITandCorporateServicestenders@cadentgas.com. The engagement is intended to help Cadent understand current market capabilities and innovation before a future procurement. No contract value or budget is stated.

This will suit organisations combining occupational health, fatigue risk management, employee wellbeing and digital health capabilities. Strong candidates are likely to offer technology that can manage fatigue effectively, use health data proactively to support employee safety, and produce actionable insights for an employer. The work also favours suppliers able to deliver engaging face-to-face education and support, alongside digital or technology-enabled services. Experience integrating data and reporting into existing corporate systems and established ways of working will be important. The requirement is aimed at an innovative partner capable of delivering an integrated service rather than a narrow standalone intervention. Suppliers should use the market engagement stage to shape and demonstrate relevant approaches before the later competition.

Cadent has an established focus on fatigue management and is seeking to understand current market capabilities and innovation in this area and are looking for an innovative partner with the capability to deliver an integrated solution across fatigue management, health and wellbeing services. Alongside this, we'd like the successful partner to deliver interactive, face-to-face education and support services that help improve our employees' health and wellbeing.
