An urgent need has been identified to ensure CAMHS Psychiatric Liaison provision is provided in A&Es throughout the West Midlands whilst a review of A&E is undertaken by Toucan to establish a longer-term plan, this has been procured using the Urgent Award route. The contracts will run for 7 months, September 26 to March 27 with the service running for 6 months of this (October 26 to March 27). The lifetime value of the contract is PS1,589,175, split over 14 providers.
Procurement Information
This contract has been awarded under the urgent circumstances provision of the Provider Selection Regime (PSR). This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. This route was taken due to the urgent need for Psychiatric Liaisons to be present in A&E departments over the winter period when high usage is likely to cause system pressures. There were no conflicts of interests declared during this process.
