Procurement Information
The blocks are required for existing containerised tents that have already been procured to bespoke dimensions and specifications. Procuring from an alternative supplier could introduce compatibility issues, require design modifications, and increase maintenance complexity. This would create unnecessary cost, schedule, and technical risks while potentially impacting the performance and standardisation of the existing assets. Therefore, competition is not considered appropriate in this instance. This procurement is in accordance with PA23, Schedule 5, Paragraph 6.
