Conduct experiments within controlled, immersive environments to study human behaviour, cognitive processes, and social interactions in various simulated scenarios. Provide simulations of clinical procedures, emergency room operations, or patient interactions for healthcare students and professionals to practice in a risk-free setting, enhancing skills and decision-making under pressure. Use virtual reality environments for patient rehabilitation, offering engaging activities that can aid in the recovery of motor skills and cognitive functions. Enable companies to design, prototype, and test new products in a virtual environment before moving to physical production, saving time and resources. Conduct safety training sessions in a controlled environment, simulating hazardous workplace scenarios without the risk of injury. Offer immersive training programs that simulate construction sites and urban planning scenarios, teaching best practices, safety protocols, and project management skills. Simulate crisis situations for fire, police, and emergency medical services, enhancing teamwork, communication, and response strategies in complex scenarios. Host interactive experiences and workshops for school groups, promoting interest in STEM fields through engaging, hands-on learning activities in a virtual environment. Provide community workshops focused on digital skills and literacy, using the immersive space to demonstrate and practice modern technologies. Create immersive art installations or performances that blend technology, sound, and visuals, offering new ways for artists to express ideas and for audiences to engage with art. Visualise and interact with data on climate change impacts, such as sea-level rise or extreme weather events, facilitating interdisciplinary research and discussions on sustainability and adaptation strategies. The Immersive space will be housed in part of a new building on Wrexham University's Plas Coch campus. This building works is due to be completed during Summer 2025 therefore whilst the procurement of the immersive suite technology will take place during 2024 with supply and delivery during Summer / Autumn 2024, the full installation of Immersive Suite would not be scheduled until September 2025.
