Notice Description

EC0733 Main Contractor (MC) Holland House. MC to undertake refurbishment works at Holland House. We will apply Regulation 30 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015 - Competitive Procedure with Negotiation due to the project risks linked to the overall scope of Works required to be undertaken. Following assessment of the submitted ESPDs, we will receive tenders from shortlisted bidders and conduct one stage of negotiation. We cannot Lot this project as we wish to appoint a single supplier due to project complexity. Bidder's must self-certify their adherence to selection criteria via the ESPD. Suppliers may be required to submit appropriate means of proof at a later stage as listed in Regulation 61 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015. The University reserves the right to request bidders to submit a final clarified offer post negotiation. Please see Sections II.2.4 and II.2.9 for more information.

Lot 1

We wish to appoint a Main Contractor to undertake refurbishment works at Holland House, part of the Pollock Halls Estate. Works will commence during January 2017 with a phased refurbishment completing in July 2018 as follows: Phase 1 Block A and C refurbishment plus main infrastructure works throughout: Jan to July 2017 - 82 rooms and 2RA Flats plus 6 pantries Phase 2a Part Block B refurbishment: Sep to Dec 2017 - 125 rooms (including 6 twin rooms) and 1 Wardens Flat plus 10 pantries Phase 2b Remainder Block B refurbishment: 08 January - 31 January 2018. Phase 3 Block D refurbishment: Feb to July 2018 - 138 rooms and 2RA Flats plus 9 pantries Please find further description information in Sections II.1.4 and II.2.9 of this Contract Notice.
