South Lanarkshire Council, on the behalf of South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture Ltd, is looking to procure the services of a suitably qualified and experienced supplier to service and repair fitness equipment within SLLC leisure facilities. This contract only includes fitness equipment that is no longer covered by the warranty, service and maintenance schedule of the original supplier/manufacturer. At present, a total of 442 fitness machines are to be included in the contract. These are located in 15 facilities across South Lanarkshire. Equipment manufacturers include Pulse Fitness, Life Fitness Technogym, Startrac, Cybex, Concept, and Hur. The 442 machines is made up of 71 treadmills, 61 cycles, 47 cross trainers, 74 other cardiovascular machines and 189 resistance machines. This number will increase over the course of the contract as existing equipment reaches a point where the manufacturer's warranty and/or maintenance agreements expire. The successful bidder will be required to visit each site on an annual basis to service equipment. The contract duration shall be 3 years with the option to extend for up to 2 years.
