Summary of the contracting process

NHS Lanarkshire, located in Bothwell, UK, is seeking suppliers for the "Patient Notice Board Systems" tender. This procurement falls under the health sector and is part of NHS Lanarkshire's initiative to enhance GP Practice operations. The tender, initiated on 24 October 2016, is currently in the Tender stage, with submission deadlines set for 28 November 2016. The procurement method adopted is an open procedure, allowing for a competitive bidding process for an estimated contract value of £200,000, targeting delivery within the boundary of NHS Lanarkshire until March 2018.

This opportunity is ripe for businesses in the healthcare technology sector, particularly those specialising in patient information systems and electronic solutions for medical practices. Companies that can demonstrate their capacity to supply and install patient self-check-in systems will find this tender especially suitable. With the potential for additional purchases contingent on funding, suppliers who are agile and capable of responding to changing demands may notably benefit from engaging in this procurement process.

"description": "This is part of NHS Lanarkshire's Primary Care/Mental Health transformational programme which is aimed at streaming lining and improving the efficiency of GP Practice operations. On the basis of earlier survey work it is known that only a proportion of GP Practices in Lanarkshire use these systems and the aim over time is to increase this number. As such in the current financial year NHSL has a requirement for at least 20 such systems with the possibility of additional purchases prior to the end of the current financial year.
