Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process titled "Owned Fleet Maintenance" is led by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, which is based in Glasgow. This initiative falls under the health services industry and aims to maintain a fleet of vehicles owned by the board. The procurement is currently in the Award stage, and the tender was originally published on 10th June 2022, having an estimated contract value of £300,000. The contract duration is set for three years, with two optional extensions of 12 months each. Interested parties were required to submit proposals by 12th January 2017 through a selective procurement method, specifically via a restricted procedure.

This contract presents a significant opportunity for businesses engaged in vehicle maintenance and related services. Companies that specialise in scheduled maintenance, breakdown assistance, and vehicle recovery, particularly those that meet Department of Transport regulations, would be well-suited to compete for this tender. With a fleet consisting of 82 vehicles, businesses that can demonstrate compliance with stringent quality and logistical requirements while maintaining cost-effectiveness are likely to stand out in this competitive tendering process.
