Notice Description
Clackmannanshire Council is seeking to procure up to 145 in number car derived and small/medium vans to be used in the delivery of Council Services under the Scotland Excel Framework for Light Vehicles (0612). It is anticipated that up to 70 vehicles will be supplied before 31st March 2017.In addition the Council wishes to have a contract option for the procurement of additional car derived vans and small/medium vans prior to 31st March 2019 to satisfy the Council's Fleet Procurement Strategy.The vehicles will have an expected duty of 12,000 miles per annum and be maintained by the Council's in-house Fleet Service. The exact duty cycle is not warranted.The total quantity of vehicles anticipated under this tender is 70 to March 31st 2017, although not warranted in quantity the figure is given as an indication of the order of magnitude for supply.The successful tenderer will be expected to fulfil Clackmannanshire Council's initial requirements before 31st March 2017.This procurement is part of the Council's wider Fleet Procurement Strategy and signals the first tranche in what is anticipated to be a series of purchases for the supply of new vehicles of different class/size.Clackmannanshire Council would expect that the supply of vehicles which may, although not warranted in quantity, will be fulfilled in batches between the date of award of contract and 31st March 2017.The contract to supply will run until 31st March 2019.The contract is specified under the following lots:LOT 1.1: 3 or 5 door hatchbacks (estimated quantity 15)LOT 2.2: Car derived vans with payload of circa 600kgs or thereby (estimated quantity 30)LOT 4:1: 2.8 Tonne GVM Medium Wheelbase Van (estimated quantity 40)LOT 4.2: 3.5 Tonne GVM LWB High Roof Van (estimated quantity 30)LOT 5.1: 3.5 Tonne drop-side tippers (estimated quantity 30)
