Summary of the contracting process

Clackmannanshire Council is currently in the award stage of their procurement process for the tender titled "Award of Light Vehicles". This initiative falls under the goods category, specifically for the procurement of up to 145 vehicles, including car-derived and small/medium vans, to support Council services. The expected supply of up to 70 vehicles is required before the deadline of 31st March 2017, with an option for additional vehicles through to 31st March 2019. The procurement process is part of the Scotland Excel Framework for Light Vehicles, with bids closing on 31st May 2017.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in light commercial vehicles, particularly manufacturers and suppliers of car-derived vans and small to medium vans. Companies that can demonstrate a capacity for supplying a range of vehicle types, including hatchbacks and tippers, would be particularly well-positioned to compete. The successful bidder will be engaged not only in the initial supply but also in a potential series of future contracts under the Council's broader Fleet Procurement Strategy.
