FW0018 Provision of Production and Attribute Surveys in all Scottish Forest Districts
Notice Description
The Forestry Commission is issuing this Invitation to Tender in order to put in place a framework for the provision of Production and Attribute Surveys across all Scottish Forest Districts. This tender is broken down into 17 geographical lots. 10 Lots for Production Surveys, and 7 lots for Attribute Surveys. Bidders may bid for all lots, but can only be awarded to a maximum of 4 Production Survey lots, and 4 Attribute Survey lots (8 lots in total). The framework will be for a period of 2 years with an optional 1x12 month extension period. The uptake of this will be at the sole discretion of the FC. Lot 2 - Dumfries & Borders Production Survey

"description": "FC will be undertaking a major review into how we carry out surveys across the National Forest Estate.This review is expected to be completed in late 2017. The outcome of the review may or may not) reduce the volume of work going through framework. FC will be undertaking a trial of new bespoke software,which is intended to replace the existing Calliper Analysis Data Programme v2.4 software. For full details please refer to the specification document within the PCST tender documents. Tenderers who are successful in being named as preferred bidders will then be required to supply evidence of minimum requirements as requested in the ESPD. Preferred Bidders will have 5 working days to submit these documents. Failure to submit these documents within the required timescale will result in your tender submission being rejected. Skills Test: Upon receipt and checking of the evidence supplied, all bidders who have successfully advanced to this stage of the process as well as all members of the survey team identified in their response to Question 2 in their technical submission, will be required to undertake and pass a mandatory skills test which will also form part of your tender submission. The skills tests will all take place in the Tay Forest District, between the 6th and 13th March 2017 (Exact dates to be advised). Attendance at the skills test by all members of the team identified as being responsible for delivery the service is mandatory. Failure to attend the skills test will result in your tender submission being rejected. Only employees or subcontractors who have passed a skills test will be permitted to operate on this framework. Attendees should ensure that they have the required PPE with them on the day. Should at any point during the framework should a contractor wish to allocate any new members of staff or a subcontractor to work on this framework, they must also pass a skills test before they can commence work.
