Notice Description
This framework agreement is for, but not limited to, the hire of vehicles, plant, grounds maintenance equipment and pumps to all Local Authority areas in Scotland.
Lot Information
Cars & Light Vehicles
Hire of cars and light vehicles for use by Scottish local authorities and other contracting authorities permitted to call-off contracts under this proposed Framework Agreement. Cars and light vehicles covered are, but not limited to, small cars up to executive cars and vans up to 3.5 tonnes.
Minibuses / BusesHire of minibuses/buses with or without a driver for use by Scottish local authorities and other contracting authorities permitted to call-off contracts under this proposed Framework Agreement. The minibuses/buses covered are, but not limited to, a range from 9 seats to 33 seats.
Commercial VehiclesHire of commercial vehicles for use by Scottish local authorities and other contracting authorities permitted to call-off contracts under this proposed Framework Agreement. Commercial vehicles covered is, but not limited to tippers of various payloads, dropside crewcabs etc.
GrittersHire of gritters for use by Scottish local authorities and other contracting authorities permitted to call-off contracts under this proposed Framework Agreement. Gritters covered range from 3.5T to 26T.
Plant - Road Surfacing PlantHire of road surfacing plant with or without a driver or operator for use by Scottish local authorities and other contracting authorities permitted to call-off contracts under this proposed Framework Agreement. Plant equipment covered is, but not limited to, spreaders, pavers and rollers.
Plant - Lifting EquipmentHire of plant lifting equipment with or without an operator for use by Scottish local authorities and other contracting authorities permitted to call-off contracts under this proposed Framework Agreement. Plant lifting equipment covered is, but not limited to, Telehandlers, Access Platforms, Scissor Lifts etc.
Grounds Maintenance EquipmentHire of grounds maintenance equipment for use by Scottish local authorities and other contracting authorities permitted to call-off contracts under this proposed Framework Agreement. Grounds maintenance equipment covered is, but not limited to, mowers or woodchippers of various sizes.
SweepersHire of road or pavement sweepers for use by Scottish local authorities and other contracting authorities permitted to call-off contracts under this proposed Framework Agreement. Sweepers covered is, but not limited to, a range of sweepers from 3.5 tonne to 18 tonne.
Specialist EquipmentHire of specialist equipment for use by Scottish local authorities and other contracting authorities permitted to call-off contracts under this proposed Framework Agreement. Specialist equipment covered is, but not limited to, Multi-use utility vehicles.
Drainage EquipmentHire of drainage equipment for use by Scottish local authorities and other contracting authorities permitted to call-off contracts under this proposed Framework Agreement. Drainage Equipment covered is, but not limited to, Vactors and Pumps.
Refuse Collection VehiclesHire of refuse collection vehicles for use by Scottish local authorities and other contracting authorities permitted to call-off contracts under this proposed Framework Agreement. Refuse collection vehicles covered is, but not limited to, a range from 3.5 Tonne to 26 Tonne.
Plant - Excavation PlantHire of excavation plant with or without a driver or operator for use by Scottish local authorities and other contracting authorities permitted to call-off contracts under this proposed Framework Agreement. The policy must be relevant to the nature and scale of the work to be undertaken and set out responsibilities for quality management throughout the organisation. ESPD (SCOTLAND) QUESTION 4D.1 - HEALTH AND SAFETY PROCEDURES The tenderer must have the following: The tenderer MUST HOLD a UKAS (or equivalent), accredited independent third party certificate of compliance in accordance with BS OHSAS 18001 (or equivalent) or have, within the last 12 months, successfully met the assessment requirements of a scheme in registered membership of the Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) forum. OR A regularly reviewed and documented policy for Health and Safety (H&S) management, endorsed by the Chief Executive Officer, or equivalent. The policy must be relevant to the nature and scale of the work and set out responsibilities for H&S management at all levels within the organisation. The policy must be relevant to the nature and scale of your operations and set out your company's responsibilities of health and safety management and compliance with legislation. ESPD (SCOTLAND) QUESTION 4D.2 - ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS OR STANDARDS The tenderer must have the following: The tenderer MUST HOLD a UKAS (or equivalent) accredited independent third party certificate of compliance with BS EN ISO 14001 (or equivalent) or a valid EMAS (or equivalent) certificate.
