Notice Description
Scottish Water is seeking to appoint contractors to provide transport and/or recycling services for Biosolids from Scottish Water sites in Highlands, Orkney & Western Isles. Scottish Water will identify suitable agricultural land for recycling and will direct haulage contractors to deliver treated Biosolids to the appropriate recycling outlets identified. Scottish Water will determine the fields to receive the Biosolids and the application rate to be applied. Recycling contractors will be responsible for the stockpile management, the loading and spreading of Biosolids on the fields in accordance with Scottish Water's guidance whilst ensuring compliance with standards and application as set out by the Biosolids Assurance Scheme (BAS). Scottish Water will divide the award into lots corresponding to the geographical sites, lots may be awarded to multiple contractors. Contractors may be awarded individual sites or lots under this framework
