Notice Description

The purpose of this procurement is to consider the optimal approach available to market for contract provision for the recycling/treatment of co-mingled organic waste stream namely (food & garden waste) collected from North Lanarkshire Council's residents via kerbside collection on a fortnightly basis. This procurement will be split into 2 lots consisting of North & South areas.

Lot Information

Organic Waste - Lot 1 - North area

The purpose of this procurement is to consider the optimal approach available to market for contract provision for the recycling/treatment of co-mingled organic waste stream namely (food & garden waste) collected from North Lanarkshire Council's residents via kerbside collection on a fortnightly basis. Lot 1 - North Area consists of Cumbernauld, Kilsyth, Airdire, Coatbridge.. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.

Renewal: This contract has the option of two further periods of extension of up to 12 months each at the sole discretion of the Council.

Organic Waste - Lot 2 - South Area

The purpose of this procurement is to consider the optimal approach available to market for contract provision for the recycling/treatment of co-mingled organic waste stream namely (food & garden waste) collected from North Lanarkshire Council's residents via kerbside collection on a fortnightly basis. Lot 2 - South Area consists of Motherwell, Wishaw, Shotts. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.

Renewal: This contract has the option of two further periods of extension of up to 12 months each at the sole discretion of the Council.
