Notice Description

NHS National Services Scotland and Scottish Government procurement are seeking to establish a single supplier collaborative framework for commercial off the shelf (COTS) Software and supporting services. This collaborative framework will be open to all parts of the public sector in Scotland and will have an estimated value of between GBP 60M and GBP 160M. The Value Added Reseller will be required to undertake a range of tasks in addition to the purchase of software such as running a help desk, maintaining software licence records and providing support and implementation services which will be key value add services.

NHS NSS and Scottish Government Procurement are running a procurement on behalf of all Public Sector Organisations to appoint a Value Added Reseller (VAR) for Off The Shelf Software. Scottish Public Sector Organisations can join this arrangement at their choice. In addition the VAR will provide a range of services including provision of a helpdesk for the ordering of software and services associated with the deployment and support of this software. Other services will include maintaining records of purchases and licence holdings for each Public sector Organisation, the aggregation of demand across Public Sector Organisations and the notification of changes to vendor software licencing terms. The Contractor shall be expected to be able to work with individual organisations varied purchasing processes and may be required to maintain a presence in a number of electronic purchasing systems.
