Notice Description
Adult Services and Children's Services for Social Work provides transport to a variety of purposes to a cross section of vulnerable service users. The Contractor shall provide the Services detailed in this specification to Service Users determined by the Council, These journeys will commence and / or terminate within Falkirk Council area. The journey may involve travel to / from another Council area but either start point or end point will be within Falkirk Council area. The Service will be required to be available 24 hours per day, 365 days a year, Monday to Friday (unless otherwise stated) and weekends, bank holidays and public holidays.

If the bidder is not UK based they must be able to demonstrate to the Councils satisfaction that they are trading under the Company name and at the address stated in the tender submission. These licences are :- taxi operator licence, taxi driver licence private hire car operator licence, private hire car driver licence taxi and private hire booking office licence. All of these licences are not required but those appropriate to the service being provided must be held. If the appropriate licences are not held the bidder will be excluded from the tender process."

Where turnover information is not available for the time period requested, the bidder will be required to state the date on which they were set up / started trading. (ESPD 4B.3) A Creditsafe credit scoring check will be performed on registered Company Name and Company Number provided by the bidder. This includes the insurance requirements stated in ESPD (4B5.1 and 4B5.2) Bidders who do not meet the criteria stated may be excluded from further participation in this procurement process. Prior approval from the Provider is required for any sub contract and copies of sub contract documentation will be requested. Scoring of the ESPD will be on a Pass / Fail basis.
