Notice Description

Stirling Council is looking for suitably qualified Tenderers to carry out Heating Upgrade and Associated Works at Fintry Primary School and Fintry Nursery.

Lot Information

Lot 1

Stirling Council requires a contractor with relevant proven experience to undertake a Heating Upgrade at Fintry Primary School. The winning contractor will be required to undertake works including removal of existing heating system, installation of new heating system, install new suspended ceilings and new floor coverings where required and some general builders work. The Contractor undertaking the Building Services Installations will be required to be member of the Building & Engineering Association (B&ES) formerly the HVCA (or equivalent membership of another body) and shall employ competent persons familiar with the type and nature of the proposed works. All refrigeration systems work pipework shall be undertaken by competent engineers and in accordance with the F Gas Regulations. The contractor shall be Refcom (or equivalent membership of another body) certificated. All installations will be required to be compatible with Stirling Council's existing TREND BMS system. Electrical Work and any alterations to existing fire protection will be undertaken by Stirling Council's Term Contractor. The tendering contractor will be expected to liaise appropriately with these contractors if required. The Contractor should also note that they will be required to undertake the role of Principal Contractor under the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015. The winning tenderer will be responsible for overall health and safety of the construction site. Contractors should be aware that Stirling Council's Term Contractor will be undertaking a Distribution Board upgrade throughout the duration of the contract and Contractors should provide power tools that are battery operated only as access to a power supply may be limited.
