NHS Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary (DGRI) is in the middle of a green field site development of a new hospital facility which will include a new UKAS accredited working laboratory to facilitate Biochemistry, Haematology, Microbiology and Histology to support the new hospital in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. DGRI plan to invest in mobile laboratory cupboard and drawer units. This will allow the highest standards of cleanliness to be adopted within the labs during routine preparation and analysis of patient samples within the laboratory facility. The mobile cupboard and drawer units will be manufactured, delivered, installed and commissioned into the new laboratory facility around late September 2017 (date to be confirmed).
