Notice Description

This purpose of this procurement exercise is to appoint a suitably resourced, skilled and experienced Contractor to supply and install; road markings, signs and poles in support of the Authority's move towards decriminalised parking.

Lot 1

The Authority is seeking Tenders from suitably skilled and experienced Contractors to undertake works required to undertake signing & lining works that are required to enable the implementation of decriminalised parking enforcement. The works will consist of the following; 1. The requirement to allow for the provision of traffic management to Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs manual. 2. The requirement to provide a mechanical brush motor to clear the channel of carriageway of debris (prior to road marking) 3. The taking down of traffic sign plates (restrictions) that are no longer required 4. The erection of new traffic sign plates (restrictions) that are to match the new consolidated traffic orders that are being drafted. 5. The erection of new traffic sign poles (notification of the works to the Scottish Roadworks Register will be the responsibility of the contractor and the acquisition of the relevant plant information) 6. The removal of road markings that are no longer required 7. The laying of new road markings to ensure that the new Traffic Regulation Orders can be enforced. 8. The removal of kerb blips 9. The laying of new kerb blips 10. The laying of worded messages / lettering 11. The reinstatement of footways (following sign pole erection)
