Notice Description

The purpose of this tender is to procure a multi disciplinary team to provide support services to the Lead Consultant (Procured as a separate contract), specifically the provision of multi-disciplinary services associated with the construction of primary school in Midlothian.

The scope of works embraces the provision of multi-disciplinary services associated with the construction of primary schools in Midlothian consisting of General School building with community space and the possibility of playing fields, plant, car parking, landscaping and other works and services associated with the construction of buildings of this type. It is the intention to procure these services through a single Term Contract Midlothian Council will procure all of their new build primary schools through a design and build contract where the design team are novated to the main contractor following a competitive tender process undertaken following RIBA stage D (Including M&E). The design information noted above is developed in conjunction with a Lead Consultant and their multi disciplinary team of sub-consultants (Procured as a separate contract). The purpose of this tender is to procure a multi disciplinary team to provide support services to the Lead Consultant. Due to the level of development within the primary school estate the Council have decided to set up a Term Contract for the performance of the Project Manager, QS, Principal Designer(CDM) and Clerk of Works role.. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.

Renewal: The contract may be extended by two years.
