Notice Description

The Council has a requirement to undertake resurfacing / reconstruction works to the existing footway and footpath network within the North Lanarkshire Council geographical boundary. The procurement is driven by the requirement to extend the life of the network, typically through the process of resurfacing and reconstruction works. The requirement also includes the provision of ancillary items such as traffic management, drainage, kerbing etc to be delivered with the resurfacing / reconstruction works. . Further information is contained within II.2.4 Description of the Procurement.

Lot Information

Lot 1 - Footway and Footpath Resurfacing / Reconstruction - Northern Area

The Council has a requirement to undertake resurfacing / reconstruction works to the existing footway and footpath network within the North Lanarkshire Council geographical boundary. The procurement is driven by the requirement to extend the life of the network, typically through the process of resurfacing and reconstruction works. The requirement also includes the provision of ancillary items such as traffic management, drainage, kerbing etc to be delivered with the resurfacing / reconstruction works. . The Works will include, but not limited to, items such as: . Implementation and maintenance of traffic management; . Excavation and reinstatement of existing footways/footpaths and paved areas; . Removal and replacement of precast concrete kerb/whin kerb; . Raise or lower ironwork; . Renewal of ironwork; and . Removal of traffic management. . The works are required in order to ensure that the current footpath condition does not deteriorate. . The duration of the contract is from 04 September 2017 until 31 March 2018. . This contract shall be governed by the Conditions of the NEC3 Engineering and Construction Short Contract (April 2013) and the additional conditions contained in Attachment 06 - Conditions of Contract. . A detailed specification is contained in Attachment 07 Specification.
