Relocation of the Paisley Museum Store Facility
Notice Description
The Council on behalf of it Arm Lengths External Organisation Renfrewshire Leisure Ltd is currently in the process of developing a new store facility for Paisley Museum. The new store will provide a state-of-the-art replacement for the existing store facilities within the main Paisley Museum building and off site facilities improving the storage conditions for the collections and enabling a more complex and meaningful service offering to the public and curators that is not possible under the current arrangements. It is the Councils intention to award the contract to a single suitably qualified and experienced provider following conclusion of the procurement process.
Lot Information
Lot 1
Items and collections contained within the current off site store facility are required to be relocated to the new facility by a suitable experienced company using suitable processes and techniques given the nature of the items. The objectives for this store project are: To develop a fit for purpose museum store, To enhance the town centre of Paisley and to create a multifunctional store which not only store museum collections but makes them accessible to the public, and To create a museums service delivery point The completion date for this project is Friday 24 November 2017
