The City of Edinburgh Council requires design team services for future works relating to Queensferry High Street in South Queensferry. We will be requesting evidence from bidders of details of the Fair Work Practices they have in place and shall include a Community Benefits clause within this Contract.

Lot 1
The City of Edinburgh Council requires design team services for future construction works for Queensferry High Street (B924) located in the village of South Queensferry which is on the southern shore of the Firth of Forth estuary. The design team appointed shall produce a design which takes full consideration of community interests and site complexities. The design must consider aspects such as community engagement, traffic management controls, parking controls, appropriate signage, environmental considerations, changes to road or pavement alignment and general examination of future street usage alongside any other necessary practical infrastructure engineering design services. It is anticipated that the successful design team shall also employ a cost consultant/Quantity Surveyor who shall compile and sign off tender specification documentation, answer tender queries and complete NEC3 Contract Data for the delivery element of the requirement post design. The estimated construction value is in the region of 850,000 GBP - 900,000 GBP.
Renewal: The Design team will be employed until the works services are complete. It is anticipated that the design and consultation element should take no longer than 6 months but precise duration of subsequent works is unknown.
