Summary of the contracting process

Dundee and Angus College is seeking a provider for its "Student Transport - Angus Smart Travel" project, with a focus on transporting students to and around its campuses in Dundee, UK. The procurement process is currently in the award stage, following a limited procurement method without prior publication. The contract was officially signed on 30th June 2017 and is structured for an initial duration of three academic years, with an option to extend it for an additional two years, contingent upon mutual agreement. Interested businesses should note the importance of timely responsiveness due to the 10-day standstill period for unsuccessful applicants following award notifications.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for local transport service providers, particularly those experienced in smart ticketing solutions. Businesses that can demonstrate the capability to manage student transport efficiently in an educational context would be well-suited to compete. As the contract covers essential transport services over a potential five-year period, it offers a stable avenue for growth within the competitive educational services market in Scotland.
