Perth and Kinross Council are seeking to appoint suitably qualified and experienced Contractors to undertake improvement and refurbishment works to their housing area office located at Leslie Street, Blairgowrie.

This tender is for participation in a contract for the improvement works to the Housing area office located at Leslie Street, Blairgowrie and will consist of refurbishment of the reception and communal areas, provision of additional meeting rooms, upgrade of staff welfare facilities, installation of CCTV and panic alarm systems and general decoration and replacement floor coverings. Due to the nature of the works and the requirement to retain access for staff, customers and members of the public, the works are to be undertaken in phased sections. With this in mind the contract periods have been determined as per the following: - Phase 1 Reception Area - 3 weeks - Phase 2 Interview Rooms - 3 weeks - Phase 3 Staff breakout and welfare areas - 4 weeks Each phase to be fully completed prior to starting on the next phase. It is anticipated these phases will be around three weeks in length. The office will remain fully operational during the works and tenderers should allow for undertaking all necessary measures to ensure safe access for staff, customers and visitors to then property. The successful contractor must have experience to deliver the work as described in Specification Documents and Bills of Quantities; of managing an all trades contract and working in a live commercial environment where members of the public may turn up without any prior notice or warning.

The bidder must hold a relevant UKAS (or equivalent) accredited independent third party certificate of compliance in accordance with BS EN ISO 9001 (or equivalent), OR the relevant company policies and procedures as detailed in the Information & Instructions for Tenderers document, Appendix 2C. Health and Safety Procedures 3. The bidder must hold a relevant UKAS (or equivalent), accredited independent third party certificate of compliance in accordance with BS OHSAS 18001 (or equivalent) or have, within the last 12 months, successfully met the assessment requirements of a construction-related scheme in registered membership of the Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) forum.
