WLC are awarding a contract for the Winchburgh PS Nursery Extension

Lot 1
It is proposed to build a new nursery extension to the school to provide a self-contained nursery. This will free up the existing area currently used for nursery accommodation, for conversion to two standard classrooms. The new nursery accommodation includes a main playroom space, kitchen internal and external store, meeting, toilets and baby change rooms. The external facade includes larch timber cladding, composite board, cladding, aluminium cladding and render. The flat roof includes rooflights and sunpipes with a covered play space canopy leading to the new nursery playground area. The nursery extension will formed off of the previous three classroom extension spine corridor that was completed in 2014 and the original NW school building corner. The extension is required to be in place for March/April 2018 to meet the terms of the planning obligation and ensure that the relevant school capacity is in place for August 2018. In summary the proposed extension will consist of the following: 1. New approx. 278m2 nursery extension. 2. Conversion and refurbishment of existing nursery area to two new classrooms. 3. New nursery playground, covered play space, and new configured footpath to access the main school playground to the rear.. Re: ESPD Q3D.1, 3D.2 and 3D.3 Bidders should answer these questions on Environmental, social and labour law in relation to compliance with the regulations covering Scotland and the UK.
