This is a Prior Information Notice (PIN) relating only to the engagement with providers of Supported Living Services. This is not a procurement process at this stage. Scotland Excel is currently looking at options for a potential future procurement strategy for Supported Living Services, and would like to engage with a broad range of providers of Supported Living Services. "Supported Living" describes a broad range of housing and support options for vulnerable adults assessed as requiring care and support. Services are mainly for people with a learning disability, physical disability and/or a mental health issue and older people. However, the scope of the services may be wider.

The ways you can engage with us are as follows: 1. Join a working group with members from Scotland Excel and other key partners. Scotland Excel is looking for 6 provider organisations to join a working group to look at options for a future procurement strategy for these services. The frequency of meetings will be monthly and location will likely be Stirling. If you would be interested in participating in this working group, please email socialcare@scotland-excel.org.uk confirming your interest. There will be alternative methods of engagement, should the 6 places be filled. Other methods are detailed below. 2. Provider Engagement Forums: Scotland Excel alongside members from the Health and Social Care Partnership's (HSCP's) will facilitate provider engagement forums to discuss Supported Living provision. These will likely take place in October/November 2017 in 4-5 locations across Scotland. Dates and venues will be confirmed. If you would be interested in attending a Provider Forum please email socialcare@scotland-excel.org.uk confirming your interest. 3. As the work progresses, Scotland Excel will hold drop in sessions as a method of engaging with providers. This will be an opportunity to meet with Scotland Excel and H&SCP representatives to discuss ideas and topics related to Supported Living Services. These will be held in locations around Scotland and again, allocated on a first come first serve basis. 4. Finally, Scotland Excel welcomes queries in writing to the following address: socialcare@scotland-excel.org.uk If you would like to keep up to date with this project, please provide your contact details to Scotland Excel at the email address provided and we will add you to the mailing list for future communications. Please also note that future information will be made available via the Public Contracts Scotland website on this Prior Information Notice. Please note that Scotland Excel is also working on a separate project for Care at Home Services. There is a separate engagement strategy and a Prior Information Notice will be issued, should you wish to link in with this work.
