Lot Information
Development of an online Customer Database that is General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) compliant and interfaces to SNH internal applications through web services

Thistle Assistance Journey Planner - door to door journey information for people that have difficulty using public transport.SEStran (South East of Scotland Transport Partnership) Thistle Assistance Journey Planner - door to door journey information for people that have difficulty using public transport. The challenge seeks to identify and understand in detail the barriers faced by commuters with protected characteristics when travelling and journey planning. Explore the extent to which these barriers affect travel plans and modal choices for travelling and to develop an App-based door to door journey planning solution that helps alleviate these barriers.
Rural Car Club - How local authority pool cars can become a part of our rural communitiesAberdeenshire Council Rural Car Club - How local authority pool cars can become a part of our rural communities Public Bodies are required under the Climate Change (Scotland) Act 2009 to act in a way that contributes to the delivery of Scotland's emissions reduction targets and in a way that it considers most sustainable. One main area where rural local authorities are challenged is with regard to transport and how we can reduce our emissions and costs associated with staff making business journeys in their own vehicles. More pool vehicles need to be available but across a rural network with an opportunity for our communities to also benefit. So, the challenge is set - Is there a way to develop and maintain a car club model which covers a large geographical area meeting the needs of its people and the services we provide? What network and technological systems need to be built in order for this to be successful? What will investment look like and what savings could be made and who do we engage with along the way?
My commute challenge - (reporting and consulting on barriers, road and pavement defects faced, on route during a daily commute).SEStran (South East of Scotland Transport Partnership) My commute challenge - (reporting and consulting on barriers, road and pavement defects faced, on route during a daily commute). SEStran wants to develop an inclusive and accessible transport network condition reporting solution which also enables better consultation with stakeholders across a range of policy areas. Encouraging the submission of user data and consistent use of data, maximizing the potential to use the data to drive improvement and opportunity for market development of solutions such as shared bike schemes, road improvement and bus route development.
Outdoor Learning: It's in our NatureScottish Natural Heritage Outdoor Learning: It's in our Nature We are looking to harness the power and availability of, and young people's enthusiasm for, popular (phone/tablet) technology to provide an efficient and effective solution to the challenge of better supporting outdoor education and learning. Engaging people in nature is a crucial challenge that could help to address a number of public sector pressures in Scotland today. With a rise in mental health issues and obesity; attainment gaps across Scottish schools; and pressures on biodiversity, getting people outside and excited about nature could provide a multidimensional solution to some of Scotland's most pressing societal issues. Scotland's National Nature Reserves showcase some of Scotland's most spectacular and diverse natural heritage. With around 3, 5000 school pupils visiting SNH Reserves every year, NNRs provide an exciting environment for learning and a chance for pupils to connect and engage with nature.
Smart Road Corridor Legacy ChallengeTransport Scotland Smart Road Corridor Legacy Challenge Transport Scotland wish to identify the wider opportunities a Smart Corridor connectivity could offer on the A9, and possible other roads, for example: - To gather data through the use of cameras and other technology provided by Smart Corridor for use in wider applications - Monitoring effectiveness of environmental mitigation - Other opportunities from data collection which connectivity can facilitate The opportunities need not be directly related to the road itself, but could be wide ranging in nature and of benefit to other stakeholders and the public.
Finding an innovative solution to the provision of rural transport that allows citizens to receive a seamless, sustainable and digitally enabled service from A to B.Stirling Council Finding an innovative solution to the provision of rural transport that allows citizens to receive a seamless, sustainable and digitally enabled service from A to B. Stirling Council administers a range of services including Supported Bus Services, DRT, Park & Ride Bus Services, Taxicard and Education and Social Care Transport. Stirling Council is seeking an innovative solution to the provision of rural transport that allows citizens to receive a seamless, sustainable and digitally enabled service from A to B. This service would not only fill an information gap, but it would enable access to rural communities and reduce the overall cost to the tax payer.
Demand Accessible Rural Transport Solutions - DARTSThe Highlands and Islands Transport Partnership (HITRANS Demand Accessible Rural Transport Solutions - DARTS Our challenge seeks the design of an IT platform and personal electronic device application that allows customers in very rural areas where conventional bus services are not viable to access a demand responsive bus service "instantly". The IT platform must be capable of working alongside more traditional journey booking methods (telephone, email) by allowing customers to engage with the location of the nearest bus to their location and desired time of travel and to make the reservation if desired. The IT platform must be capable of relaying the booking information securely to the driver and allow the customer making the booking to track the journey's progress to allow any connection or collection arrangements to be honoured.
Meet the Buyer AppVisitScotland Meet the Buyer App The purpose of the challenge is to seek suitable App Developers to provide an innovative solution that will allow prospective vendors the ability to visibly showcase their products to public sector purchasing authorities. This may be particularly useful in a retail or other environment where physical products are purchased. The app should include (but not be limited to) the ability to display up to 6 images per product, a short description of the vendor and the specific products, pricing, distribution, open or targeted posts.
Taxi for paper trails! Developing an app for taxi drivers to endorse a smartcard giving people free travel, helping councils cut down on fraud.East Lothian Council Taxi for paper trails! Developing an app for taxi drivers to endorse a smartcard giving people free travel, helping councils cut down on fraud and paper administration. East Lothian Council is looking for a partner to develop a solution using National Entitlement Cards for its taxicard subsidised transport scheme. This solution has to be easy for taxi drivers to adopt and make it easier for citizens to know how many of their entitlement to trips they have already used. In addition the solution has to record and communicate usage to the council electronically to allow East Lothian Council to monitor the uptake of the subsidy and strengthen anti-fraud measures.
The Forward Project. A networked mutual bank for the creative industries.Creative Scotland The Forward Project A networked mutual bank for the creative industries. In 1784 the pioneering inventor Benjamin Franklin championed the idea of 'pay it forward', suggesting that society benefits more by debts being paid to a needy third party rather the original lender. At the same time in Scotland, Adam Smith created the logic for the 'invisible hand' of the market. Our current understanding of how markets work has been fixed for some time, but social networks now give us the tools to disrupt and reconstruct the ways in which money and value moves around. We now want to work with the brightest minds in Scotland to undertake the how, why and what of a new system of mutuality that will support the inclusive growth of our small creative businesses.
CAN DO Car shareArgyll & Bute Council CAN DO Car share The Council is seeking a solution to enable council employees to effectively travel and share vehicle journeys where possible across Argyll and Bute; a large rural area including islands.
Process Redesign, Automation and Digitisation - Channel of ChoiceAngus Council Process Redesign, Automation and Digitisation - Channel of Choice As part of its Change programme Angus Council wishes to develop and implement Process Redesign, Automation and Digitisation to deliver end-to-end digital services. This could be through the utilisation and integration of already procured and available software or through the procurement of Robotics software and implementation. The Council has identified an initial tranche of 17 areas where they believe automation would be of value. The Council also requires build capacity and capability within the organisation to become self sufficient in the development, delivery and management of this type of digital process through a new Council in-house team. To this end the council wishes to procure Consultants to act as Initial solution Assessor, Developer and Trainer/Mentor to support this exercise to a point of self-sufficiency within a 6 to 9 months period. The Consultants will be expected to deliver the first tranche of areas while concurrently training and developing the in-house team.

So, the challenge is set - Is there a way to develop and maintain a car club model which covers a large geographical area meeting the needs of its people and the services we provide? What network and technological systems need to be built in order for this to be successful? What will investment look like and what savings could be made and who do we engage with along the way?",

"description": "Scottish Natural Heritage Outdoor Learning: It's in our Nature We are looking to harness the power and availability of, and young people's enthusiasm for, popular (phone/tablet) technology to provide an efficient and effective solution to the challenge of better supporting outdoor education and learning. With around 3, 5000 school pupils visiting SNH Reserves every year, NNRs provide an exciting environment for learning and a chance for pupils to connect and engage with nature.",

East Lothian Council is looking for a partner to develop a solution using National Entitlement Cards for its taxicard subsidised transport scheme. This solution has to be easy for taxi drivers to adopt and make it easier for citizens to know how many of their entitlement to trips they have already used. In addition the solution has to record and communicate usage to the council electronically to allow East Lothian Council to monitor the uptake of the subsidy and strengthen anti-fraud measures.",

"description": "Creative Scotland The Forward Project A networked mutual bank for the creative industries. We now want to work with the brightest minds in Scotland to undertake the how, why and what of a new system of mutuality that will support the inclusive growth of our small creative businesses.",
