Procurement Information

The appointed design team have been involved in producing feasibility studies and project designs and proposals in respect of the proposed housing development at this site. Due to stringent funding requirements, Lochfield Park Housing Association requires to commence development as soon as possible. The Association has also been notified that water voles are present at the site and will require to be removed prior to commencement of works, and that the requisite environmental works to deal with the problem can only be carried out at specific times of the year. A failure to commence works within the timescale puts the entire development at risk. Therefore, for reasons of extreme urgency, as well as technical reasons associated with the works already carried out by the appointed Design Team in relation to the development, the Association is awarding the contract to the appointed design team without prior publication of a contract notice.
