It must: - Mobile on a set of lockable castors with a separate mounting frame - Mounting frame either side, for electrical connection and control units - Fixed drawer unit on each side for storage of components - It must be offered with a range of Pneumatics and electro-pneumatics components [2] Training Packages: A comprehensive and complete range of components should be offered and as a minimum should offer (for each side of the work station): - Pneumatics: push buttons - normally closed and normally open, selector switch, roller lever valves, proximity sensors, time delay valve, pressure sequence valve, single-pilot valves, OR & AND valves, quick-exhaust valve, one-way flow control valve, single & double acting cylinders, air filter regulator, pressure regulator, pressure gauges, distributor block and plastic tubing. A number of faulty components should also be offered to assist with trouble-shooting exercises. - Electro-pneumatics: signal input unit, relays, electrical limit switches, optical and electronic proximity sensors, solenoid valves with LED, pressure sensor with display, double-acting cylinder and tubing. - The components must be arranged manually without tools as desired on the vertical plate in order to create different circuits. - The components must be equipped with precision quick connectors. [3] Accessories: - Power supply for each side: Output voltage 24 V DC, short-circuit-proof. - Connecting shrouded safety cables of varying sizes. - Comprehensive workbooks, teacher and student versions, for both pneumatics and electro-pneumatics in electronic and paper format. [4] Controller PLC: A Qty of 4 wired Siemens S7-1200 PLC to be used with Electro-pneumatics components as stated above. Connection must be via shrouded cables. [5] Simulation software: Simulation software to create and simulate the pneumatics and electro-pneumatics packages of above. The software package includes circuit creation with high-performance simulation tool and a comprehensive e-learning tutorial. It must be possible to simulate various circuits simultaneously as well as the integration of pneumatics and hydraulics in the same circuit. The simulation software should be a network version with a minimum of 10 licenses which should a perpetual license with no annual subscriptions. Application of Mechatronics (qty: 2) Two station modular production system that offers parts delivery system on one station and parts sorting on the other. Each station must be supplied with its own Siemens S7-1500 PLC and programming software. Each station must be capable of working on its own or with the other station. The system must offer: mechanical and electrical set up, pneumatics actuators, set up of sensors and limit switches and PLC programming. The system must be offered with a PLC simulation box to assist with the understanding of the correct sequence of PLC programming. Flexible Manufacturing System for application of Mechatronics An educational production line that handles and assembles a combination of different assemblies; coloured plastic and metal. The complete system should comprise of a number of modular stations connected to a pallet transportation conveyor system. The modularity must allow the individual stations to be used on their own or in combination with one another - away from the conveyer belt. Each modular station should be on a mobile trolley with lockable castors. Each station must be individually programmable and equipped with its own Siemens S7-1500 PLC. The system, as a minimum, should mimic the training areas of a Flexible Manufacturing System including: Transportation, Incoming Goods, Processing, Visual Inspection, Robot and Assembly, Warehouse and Outgoing Goods.. Description of the Procurement (Continued) The system must be offered with a multi user Education Simulation Software enabling learners to simulate the complete system as well as each of the stations individually (singularly or in any combination), including the robot station. The software must be comprehensive enough to allow the program to be download onto the Robot Station.
