Street Lighting Infrastructure Renewal 2017 - 2019
Notice Description
The Council has a requirement to undertake works to ensure the street lighting network is electrically and structurally safe. The procurement is driven by the requirement to renew those parts of the street lighting network (street lighting tracking, ducts, cables, columns and lanterns) that are experiencing above normal electrical faults or where columns are deemed to be beyond their design life and have deteriorated structurally. The intention for these works is to be delivered throughout the year on a pre-planned replacement schedule.
Lot Information
North area
The Council has a requirement to undertake works to ensure the street lighting network is electrically and structurally safe. The procurement is driven by the requirement to renew those parts of the street lighting network (street lighting tracking, ducts, cables, columns and lanterns) that are experiencing above normal electrical faults or where columns are deemed to be beyond their design life and have deteriorated structurally. Works will include, but not limited to, items such as: . Street lighting tracking . Ducts . Cables . Columns . Lanterns . The works are required in order to ensure that the street lighting network is electrically and structurally safe and to renew those parts of the street lighting network that are experiencing above normal electrical faults or where columns are deemed to be beyond their design life and have deteriorated structurally. . The duration of the contract is from 04 December 2017 until 31 March 2019. . This contract shall be governed by the Conditions of the NEC3 Engineering and Construction Short Contract (April 2013) and the additional conditions contained in Attachment 06 - Conditions of Contract. . A detailed specification is contained in Attachment 07 Specification.. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 8 and 9 of the Procurement (Scotland) Regulations 2016.
