Lot Information
Lot 1
Appointment of a work package contractor to carry out works on the Queens Quay site, which extends to approximately 23.0 hectares. The works covered by this contract notice consists of the following: 1) Construction of the main spine road through the site with an approximate overall length of 1km. 2) Improvements and alterations to the road junctions at Cart Street and Cable Depot Road. These junctions are on the public highway outwith the site boundary. 3) Drainage infrastructure comprising surface water drainage, foul water drainage, filter trenches and a new pumping station. 4) Coordination of the installation of multi utility services infrastructure comprising electricity, water, gas and telecoms. The multi utility services provider will be appointed and paid separately but will be managed by the work package contractor who will carry out all builderswork required for the multi utility services installation. 5) District heating pipework installation. The district heating pipework contractor will be a nominated sub-contractor who will be appointed through a separate procurement exercise. The work package contractor will be responsible for managing the nominated sub-contractor and will carry out all associated builderswork required for the district heating pipework installation.

The Public Contracts (Contracts) Regulations 2015 (as amended) provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach the rules to take court action. Any such action must be started within 30 days beginning with the date when the aggrieved party first knew or ought to have known that grounds for starting the proceedings had arisen. The Court may extend the time limit for starting proceedings where the Court considers that there is a good reason for doing so but not so as to permit proceedings to be started more than 3 months after that date.
