Aberdeenshire ADP Alcohol & Drug Services
Notice Description
Aberdeenshire Alcohol and Drug Partnership requires the provision of an all age, service to support people who require services or information to address drug and or alcohol misuse. These services will be available in north and south/central Aberdeenshire. Aberdeenshire Alcohol and Drug Partnership /Health and Social Care Partnership are commissioning services primarily for people who use drugs and or alcohol but also for others affected. These Services will provide "public facing" advice and information to anyone concerned about their own or someone else's alcohol consumption or drug use. It will also aim to give support to access options that reduce risk of DRD by providing rapid assessment and treatment engagement for those at high risk; local access to supervised consumption of opioid substitution treatment; support for alcohol dependence and alcohol detoxification; support for safer injecting practices and to stop injecting.

- Gateway services - An easily accessible gateway service for all people wishing support and or treatment for problematic alcohol and or drug use - Key Worker services - addressing problematic alcohol and drug use by providing appropriate long and short term Interventions delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions that fit within frameworks such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Motivational Enhancement Therapy. - Stepped Care (ORT) - A key worker to support people on Opiate Replacement Therapies (ORT) prescriptions - ORT key worker - Harm Reduction - The Service will support people to make positive cognitive and behavioural changes in substance use and other risk behaviours within the context of a harm reduction service - Moving On - Supporting people to move on in their recovery and focus on achieving their goals and aspirations e.g. Employment, training, improved lifestyle and relationships, parenting etc.. The contract duration is for 3 years with potentially two further one-year extensions
