    "description": "Test and Maintain 1. Test the Traction Electronics equipment. There are five separate modules - two of which will always be tested together - that can easily be removed from the power car either on depot or at a suitable location if necessary. 1.1. 'Fault find' any irregular test results. 1.2. Replace any electrical components that are at fault. NOTE: In order to carry out the above testing the supplier will require an alternator motor that is able to simulate the range 276V at 33Hz and 415V at 50Hz. 2. Test the P.C.B card within each module. As the card will be disconnected they must be removed from the power car and tested at a suitable test bench. 2.1. 'Fault find' any irregular test results. 2.2. Replace any electrical components that are at fault. 2.3. Re-solder any broken connections. Reverse engineer: The current traction electronics fitted to the GWR power cars were built along with the trains in the 1970s so are fairly outdated. The supplier will therefore be asked to: 1. Reverse engineering the electronics as they are and understand fully how they work. The materials listed below in 'Section 5' will be available to the supplier to carry out this investigation. 2. Redesign, redevelop or modernise the current equipment.
