Summary of the contracting process

Ardenglen Housing Association Ltd. based in Glasgow is managing a procurement process for its Landscape Maintenance Works, applicable for the period from 1st May 2018 to 30th April 2020. The procurement is classified under the industry category of housing and community amenities and follows a selective procurement method under a restricted procedure. The contracting authority seeks to appoint a single contractor responsible for the routine upkeep, planned maintenance, and reactive repairs of both soft and hard landscaped areas. The tender officially closed on 18th December 2017, aligning with the overall schedule of the tender submission process.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for businesses in landscape maintenance services, particularly those with experience in similar environments, such as occupied housing areas. Companies capable of providing high-quality landscape management and repair services are well-positioned to compete for this contract, especially if they have the capacity for direct labour without subcontracting, as preferred by the buyer. The successful contractor will not only get the chance to maintain Ardenglen's properties but also to potentially enhance their community impact through the expected community benefits proposals linked to the contract.
